No better way to start the year than with another four wines priced under $20 that give wines costing much more a run for the money. Our search for quality and value is ongoing and it is with great pleasure that we welcome Robert Braswell, sales representative for these wines, for this tasting. So come on in, grab a glass and join us at the AWM Tasting Bar this Saturday.

2008 Glazebrook 041° S -174° E Sauvignon Blanc; Marlborough, New Zealand Alwyn Corban is the winemaker here and his talent shines through on this wine. This wine is fresh and lively with nicely delineated fruit. The fruit is nicely ripened with gooseberry aromas and flavors yielding to riper notes of peaches and tropical fruits. The finish is long, mineral driven and fruit-filled and showing a nice herbal nuance. Great as an apertitif and especially nice with seafood dishes.
AWM Regular Price: $13.99 per bottle
Special Tasting Price: $12.59 per bottle or $11.19 by the case

2008 Domaine Pascal et Mierille Renaud Macon-Viilages; Burgundy, France This is another classic example of French Chardonnay at its best. From a single vineyard, this wine gets its intensity of flavor and depth from the concentrated fruit that the 40 year old vineyard provides. A beautiful nose of spicy fruit with pear, apple and almond nuances gives way to a ripe, perfectly balanced palate of fruit that is set off nicely by delicate toasty elements from the sur lies ageing this wine sees. Very pure with a lively band of ripe acidity that makes this a great wine for the dinner table. After you swallow this wine , the flavors seem to intensify - its refreshing to be able to buy a wine of this quality for so little.
AWM Regular Price: $12.99 per bottle
Special Tasting Price: $11.69 per bottle or $10.39 by the case

2007 Line 39 Petite Sirah; North Coast, California This is what Petite Sirah should taste like! It offers a deep color and a nice structure of deep, rich, concentrated flavors from nose to finish. The aroma is a ripe package of berries, chocolate, and spice, leading into an explosive mouthful of boysenberry, black pepper, and vanilla. The pedigree of fruit in this wine gives it a character and complexity you will savor - enjoy!
AWM Regular Price: $9.99 per bottle

Special Tasting Price: $8.99 per bottle or $7.99 by the case

2006 Bodegas Borsao Seleccion Crianza; Campo de Borja The 2006 Crianza Seleccion is purple-colored with a fragrant nose of cedar, spice box, black cherry, and black currant. Smooth-textured, savory, and ripe, it has excellent depth, concentration, and length. This is drinking very well now and should continue to drink well to 2016. A blend of Grenache 50%, Tempranillo 25%, and Cabernet Sauvignon 25%, from dry-farmed mountain vineyards, this packs in lots of rich flavors! Great with winter stews, roasts or something off the grill.
AWM Regular Price: $16.99 per bottle
Special Tasting Price: $15.29 per bottle or $13.59 by the case

Special tasting prices: 10% off the bottle and 20% off by the case, mix or match unless already discounted via a special price or sale price
