2008 Due Mondi Chardonnay; Terre di Chieti, Italy 100% Chardonnay, aged briefly in oak, this wine bursts from the glass with intriguing white fruit and golden delicious apple aromas. A pleasing light to medium-bodied wine, it reveals silky waves of gleefully-flavored pears, apples, candied lemons and gooseberries. The fresh, lively flavors in this tasty little white will mesh seamlessly with any poultry dish or be the big hit at your next party. Don't miss this one, its sure to go fast. Enjoy this over the coming 6-9 months.

2008 Bidoli Pinot Grigio; Grave, Italy Pale straw in color and almost Chablis-like in style. Grown in one of the very best zones for Pinot Grigio the gravelly soil of this region imparts the highly sought after mineral character to this wine. Lovely floral bouquet with hints of apple, peach and pear. Crisp, steely fresh and very elegant, with lots of style. Finishing with a touch of minerality, this is serious yet easy-drinking wine at a very good price. Give it a try!

2006 Tezza Corte Majoli Valpolicella Ripasso; Veneto, Italy Consumers looking for a delicious ripasso Valpolicella will want to check out the Corte Majoli Valpolicella Ripasso. A fully saturated ruby, the wine flows from the glass with a supple expression of black cherries, tobacco leaf, delicate sweet oak spice and subtle notes of grilled herbs that linger on the finish. This medium-bodied, expansive, complex Valpolicella offers notable persistence on the palate and longs for braised pork or lamb dishes. Try it with cheese, a crusty loaf of bread and friends - conviviality shall prevail. Delicious!

2008 Montfalto Nero d'Avola/Cabernet; Sicily, Italy This out-scored wines costing half again as much and offers great value. Nero d'Avola is a grape indigenous to Sicily and makes up 70% of this red blend. There are rich and robust aromas of black briary berries, black licorice, and earthy nuances that segue nicely into richly concentrated fruit flavors that wash over the palate in delicious waves. Black raspberry, Bing cherry as well as red pie cherry along with subtle notes of espresso roast and mocha add to the fun. It's medium bodied, generously textured, well balanced and sports a lingering finish. What's not to like?
