Cantina Social Cooperative Vecchia Torre is one of the most well-regarded and successful cooperatives in Puglia. The co-op first planted Vermentino in 2006 and quickly found the grape to be remarkably resistant to the region’s punishing heat. They chose a small, ten-hectare vineyard site between two hills that provided the vines with a cooling wind.
