Chile: one of the most exciting New World producers
Thursday, January 23rd., 2014 – 7:00 p.m., Asheville Wine Market Cellar
Chile exists in near perfect seclusion, with the cold Pacific on one side, the Atacama desert to the north, the Andes to the east and Antarctica to the south. Chile is 2500 miles long, allowing for a broad range of latitudinal micro-climates that are very grape friendly. Riesling, Pedro Ximenz, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, Carmenere, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Chardonnay all have found their particular niches. Come and join us as we taste the wonderful diversity of the Chilean vineyards.
