After 18 years of innovative brewing, Coronado Brewing Company give themselves a much-deserved pat on the back with their larger-than-life 18th Anniversary Double IPA. Pouring hazy gold with a nice, thick head, citrus and pine aromas practically jump out of the glass. Follow that up on the palate with some toasty malt, some mildly resinous herbal bitterness, and refreshing tropical fruit notes, and you’ve got all the makings of a classic West Coast-style Double IPA. The finish here is long and dry, with just a little alcohol heat that hints at only a fraction of its 10% ABV. We were lucky enough to score a couple of cases of this exciting beer, but it won’t last long. Come on in and get yours before they vanish!
