A visit to some recent additions from the Southern Hemisphere. And, a Rosé from France (ok, so we couldn’t resist, it is after all the beginning of Rosé season!)
Casa Julia Sauvignon Blanc, Chile: Fresh, clean and crisp but with a bit more weight than the Marlboro or the Loire without getting into the typical richness of our own West Coast. Super food and porch friendly.
$11.99 per bottle, special sale price: $9.99
“The Royal” Chenin Blanc, South Africa: The dry Chenins from South Africa are some of the most versatile wines around. Think picnic, BBQ, heat and spice, curries and soy based Asian. Of course they’re just great quafffers and thirst quenchers as well!
$9.99 per bottle, tasting price in a case: $7.99
Domaine La Colombe Rosé, France : There’s not too many warm weekends that are going to pass without a pink sipper in the lineup and this Saturday is no exception! Delicate red fruit notes are married into a crisp envelope of pink perfection! The terrific 2015 vintage adds just a bit more body compared to last year’s release.
$12.99 per bottle, today in a case: $10.39
Casa Julia Cabernet Sauvignon, Chile: A nice spring weight Cab that’s on the lighter end of the medium body scale. Soft and supple tannins will allow this easy going Cab to pair with a lot of the lighter fare of spring.
$12.99 per bottle, today in a case: $10.39
